Our specialized services include in-house DER solutions, welding, machining, part fabrication through reverse engineering, structural repairs, and composite repairs. Our staff engineers generate technical repair packages to substantiate FAR compliance findings. Our design engineers reverse engineer, model, substantiate, and fabricate parts through the guidance of AC 43-18. Our in-house processes ensure higher quality and faster turnaround times for the customer. Avenir Aviation is recently joined under the same ownership as its sister companies, Preferred Composite Services (Miami, FL) and V1MRO Solutions (Mesa, AZ). All three companies share one centralized Engineering Department which will continue to support the expanding enterprise.
Job Description:
Avenir Aviation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team in Miami, FL. In this role, you will support the reverse engineering and development of parts, contributing to engineering design, technical documentation, and substantiation packages. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical or aerospace engineering, familiarity with AC 43-18 and manufacturing processes, hands-on experience with measurement tools, and proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks. - A degree in Engineering is preferred, though candidates with substantial experience in reverse engineering within aerospace are encouraged to apply.
- PMA experience preferred but not required.
- Comfortable reading and interpreting complex technical drawings.
- Familiarity with GD&T principles and their practical application.
- Skilled in the use of precision measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
- Prior exposure to Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) or other digital measurement tools is beneficial.
- Proficient in SolidWorks or comparable computer-aided design platforms.
- Capable of writing technical documentation to support FAA certification and compliance.
