Position Summary:

The People & Culture Generalist (PCG) is a critical member of the Human Resources team, working closely with all members of the HR team and supporting many critical functions of HR including talent acquisition, onboarding/offboarding, performance management, compliance, benefits administration, HR reporting, and more. The PCG will be hands-on and involved in ensuring a positive candidate and onboarding experience for new hires. They will become a super user in our HRIS Paycom, specifically with applicant tracking, onboarding, and employee data management. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a strong attention to detail who enjoys data and systems focused work as well as interacting with and supporting employees.

This role will report to the Director of Human Resources. This is a hybrid role with the expectation of 2-3 days in office per week. 


Position Responsibilities:

  • General Human Resources Support
  • Serve as a champion of our company culture including supporting a people-first culture throughout all interactions
  • Assist Director of Human Resources with HR projects including annual compensation, performance management, etc.
  • Conduct feedback surveys, collecting key data related to employee onboarding, retention, and exits; Analyze feedback data and present trends and recommendations to Director of HR
  • Support Director of HR with employee relations investigations, inquiries, and concerns
  • Draft performance improvement plans and disciplinary action
  • Maintain learning management system (LMS) including assigning and tracking compliance training completion within HRIS
  • Serve as the first point of contact for Paycom Ask Here employee inquiries and manage the HR inbox
  • Maintain HR records and employee files while keeping files organized and maintaining strict confidentiality
  • Benefits, HRIS, and Reporting
  • Support benefits administration activities, including routine enrollment audits, support of open enrollment, and employee inquiries
  • Maintain monthly and annual ACA compliance in HRIS
  • Monitor benefits file feeds and resolve fallout and discrepancies
  • Utilize HR data and compile reports from the HRIS
  • Assist with annual open enrollment
  • Monitor weekly carrier feeds and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist Director of Human Resources with HRIS system administration
  • Maintain compliance with federal and multi-state employment laws through workforce policies and compliance initiatives including EEO-1 reporting, VETS reporting, I-9, etc., while ensuring policies and programs enhance operational efficiency and are fair and equitable
  • Talent Acquisition Support
  • Support recruitment efforts across multiple business units
  • Collaborate with HRBP regarding recruitment strategies and search priorities
  • Maintain applicant tracking system, including posting and maintaining open job requisitions
  • Drive applicant and candidate engagement through social media postings and increasing our employment brand awareness within our industry
  • Conduct initial phone screens
  • Communicate with candidates and ensure a timely and positive candidate experience
  • Schedule virtual and in person interviews
  • Maintain job descriptions for all positions, working with hiring managers to update existing or create new job descriptions, as needed
  • Draft offer letters and obtain internal approvals
  • Onboarding
  • Administer all onboarding activities including: initiating onboarding process, I-9 and E-Verify administration and compliance, tax surveys, and new hire paperwork
  • Process pre-employment background screening and drug testing; administer random drug testing program, as applicable
  • Support HRBPs with new hire orientation
  • Audit the new hire process for accuracy, completion, and compliance
  • Additional responsibilities, as assigned

  • Preference and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Possess a “no job too small” mindset towards work


Experience/Education Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of human resources experience; or 6 years of human resources and professional experience without a degree
  • HR certification, preferred
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment practices, federal and multi-state employment laws
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills, including Excel and PowerPoint, or equivalent
  • Intermediate HRIS and reporting experience, ideally Paycom

Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
