Head of Technology / Head of Software Engineering - AI

Aventis is proud to partner with another leading tech firm to create a state-of-the-art AI Innovation Team. Now, we’re on their search for a Head of Technology / Software Engineering including core aspects of, Backend Development, Data Engineering, AI Engineering and Data Science to lead their rapidly growing AI division. This position offers the opportunity to develop and deploy cutting-edge AI and machine learning solutions that tackle real-world challenges and drive business innovation.

Key Details:

• Salary: $200,000-$260,000 bonus benefits
• Location: Remote-based with New York HQ hubs in Austin, Texas and Silicon Valley / San Francisco, California
• Team Growth: This hire will form the core of the company’s brand new centralised AI team, working directly alongside the Chief Information Officer and collaborating on high-impact projects.

Key Skills, Attributes, and Technologies Desired:

• AI & ML Knowledge: Strong foundation in machine learning and AI, including supervised and unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, and deep learning.
• Model Development: Experience leading the development, training, and fine-tuning ofAI/machine learning models for large-scale applications.
• Cloud Computing: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying AI solutions. They’re using Azure with Databricks.
• Performance Optimisation: Strong understanding of optimising ML algorithms for scalability and efficiency.
• Collaboration Skills: Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including data engineers and product managers.
• Predictive Analytics & Data Modelling: Ability to lead team to build predictive models and derive actionable insights from complex datasets. Hands-on experience isn't required.
• Problem-Solving: A logical approach to data challenges, with a focus on delivering impactful solutions.
• Tech Comprehension: DevOps and CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform. Spark and Kafka are useful amongst others.
