Aventura at West Park is currently looking for an experienced Scheduler / Staffing Coordinator!
SCHEDULER/STAFFING COORDINATOR JOB SUMMARY:
The scheduler is primarily responsible for ensuring the nursing schedule in the facility is maintained, in an efficient and proactive manner. This includes assisting with getting staff to pick up open shifts and focusing on non-agency, non-overtime shifts to be efficient. This also includes working together with nurse management and HR to hire staff to fill up open slots on the master schedule. A great scheduler is one who is able to be organized and proactive/prepared for the multitude of situations that come up in a SNF in today's world, including keeping our software organized properly.
Full-time (40 hours / week)
Flexible Hours but primarily M-F 7am - 3:30pm
SCHEDULER/STAFFING COORDINATOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND MAJOR DUTIES:
Meet the staffing needs of the facility by creating the schedules for the nursing department including STNAs, LPNs, and RNs.Manage the fulfillment of open shift by communicating with staff members to arrange for coverage.
Maintain accurate records of the schedule for regulatory compliance.
Assist with or conduct interviews potential new STNAs.
Data entry into the scheduling system, including creating profiles for agency staff and communicating with staff and agencies to be clocking in and out of our clock.
Review of agency shifts on portals for approval to ensure staff hours are accounted for. This includes corroborating with supervisors and cross-referencing with our timekeeping system.
Approving agency invoices in our AP software and contacting agencies if any discrepancies to get credits.
Daily reporting of staffing ratios to maintain regulatory and financial compliance.
Depending on the census level, this position may be merged with another such as central supply or medical records, so experience with those is a potential plus.
Assist with other tasks as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Nursing home scheduler experience a must.
Ability to read/write/comprehend the English language in written & verbal form required. Ability to communicate both verbally and non-verbally required.
Computer proficiency is required. Must possess a working knowledge of the internet, Microsoft Office applications, and be quick to learn new computer programs.
