Position Summary:
The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in adherence to legal and safety standards. This role demands meticulous attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to maintain a clean and efficient bar environment.
Bartender Responsibilities:
- Attend responsible vendor training to ensure compliance with all relevant beverage operation laws.
- Uphold health and safety standards and adhere to established policies at all times.
- Participate in periodic safety meetings conducted by the club’s safety committee.
- Promptly escalate any guest complaints to supervisors for resolution.
- Capable of lifting up to 30 lbs comfortably to perform bar-related tasks.
- Execute opening procedures for the bar register and complete necessary bar setups.
- Maintain on-site presence and oversee bar area operations until the conclusion of each scheduled shift.
- Collaborate professionally with servers to deliver exceptional guest service consistently.
- Inspect and manage stock levels of glasses, napkins, and all essential bar equipment and supplies to prevent service disruptions.
- Stock and replenish champagne, wine, beer, liquor, mixes, and garnishes at least 30 minutes before business hours.
- Regularly inspect and uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards for bar areas, glassware, and equipment.
- Greet guests warmly and provide efficient, courteous service throughout their visit.
- Prepare and serve drinks according to approved recipes, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Follow standard operating procedures to optimize bar efficiency while minimizing labor and costs.
- Collect payments for drinks served using cash, credit cards, or charge checks.
- At the end of each shift, clear trash and recyclables, clean equipment and bar surfaces, restock supplies, secure beverages, and complete the bar register closeout.
- Accomplish additional tasks as delegated by supervisors to support operational needs.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Receive and fulfill food orders for guests seated at the bar.
- Ensure all tip cash is securely stored and not visible to guests.
Physical Demands:
- Visual, auditory, and verbal acuity.
- Ability to frequently lift up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
