Cash Application Specialist
$18-$23/hour, Based on Experience
Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Cash Application Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring accurate and timely processing of cash receipts, reconciling transactions, and resolving posting issues. If you have a strong background in cash applications and are skilled in maintaining accuracy in high-volume environments, we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Process high volumes of daily cash receipts for U.S. customer accounts.
- Post lockbox payments and reconcile transactions across multiple systems.
- Manage and resolve unapplied and unidentified receipts in collaboration with business units.
- Download, post, and reconcile electronic remittance files.
- Work with billing and collections representatives to address posting issues.
- Submit checks to the virtual lockbox scanner as needed.
- Assist with customer setup and ensure data accuracy.
- Respond to inquiries from clients and partners regarding cash applications.
- Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- 3-5 years of cash application experience (required).
- 2 years of accounts receivable experience (preferred).
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze and organize data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to change and learn new systems quickly.
