Position Summary :

Performs multi-layered data analysis on various data sources to ensure accuracy and identify potential leads for Sales & Use Tax and Local Tax Compliance (Discovery Recovery) using Avenu’s proprietary software. Affects corrections to the data, as necessary. Maintain established address range databases by county. Affect annexations provided by the California Department of Tax & Fee Administration.

Conduct other responsibilities as needed.

Key Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) :

Analysis of data anomalies and enhance data where necessary

Lead detection (Sales and Use Tax and Local Tax Compliance (DRE)) : Analysis of data to identify non-compliant or misallocated businesses, assist with bilingual calls for LTC / Call Center

Annexations (State Board of Equalization)

New client setup / validation of zip code boundaries, overlaps, county pockets

Professional Experience / Qualifications :

• Associate's degree preferred, or the equivalent amount of related experience.

Must be able to work at the computer several hours a day, five days a week.

Work Environment :

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate as the employee works in an open floor office environment, in an individual workstation, using a telephone and computer.
