The Avenue at Macedonia is a Post-Hospital Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Care Facility that offers a distinctive environment not commonly found in skilled nursing facilities. From our hotel-like environment to our all private suites, the Avenue is committed to providing an excellent level of physical, medical, emotional and spiritual support in an environment of comfort and respect. Our facility provides some of the area’s highest level of rehabilitation, nursing and medical support to individuals needing post-hospital care and services. We are looking for a committed individual with a reputation for being cheerful and friendly as they administer care to our residents.
Responsibilities
Under the administrative guidance of the Director of Nursing, the Unit Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, administering and directing a broad program of nursing services within the facility.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) or (LPN) license in the state of Ohio
- At least three (2) years of successful nursing experience in a long-term care environment; most of which should be in a management role.
- Must have a flexible schedule and the willingness to work various shifts in order to meet the staffing needs of the facility.
- CPR certification.
- Must possess proof of continuing education (current).
- Must show the ability to communicate effectively, and to speak, read, and write in a legible and understandable manner.
- Working knowledge of nursing home regulations
- Genuine caring for, and interest in, the elderly and handicapped people.
- Must have the ability to relate positively to residents, their families, employees and the community at large.
- Must meet all local health regulations and pass a post-employment-offer physical exam, if required. This requirement includes drug screening, criminal background investigation, and reference inquiries.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of this job, with or without accommodation.
