Summary of Responsibilities
The vice president of national ancillary services oversees and runs all national ancillary programs, including but not limited to national required accounts, national optional programs, utility services, and Avenue5 billing (in-house post tenancy collections). This position creates and operates the budgets for each division. The vice president of national ancillary services will also be responsible for vetting and researching prospective partners, negotiating, and overseeing the contract process and management for each supplier partnership, working with the managerial team to implement new programs, and supervising a team of associates to oversee each division under national ancillary programs.
Primary Responsibilities and Objectives
- Manage the overall setup processes for all national ancillary suppliers; for all onboarding properties and any existing properties looking to add the program at their building
- Manage overall compliance on all of our national partner programs and products; provide reports and findings to executive(s) and corporate accounting as well as recommendations
- Review and interpret all sales reporting for each optional national program
- Report all sales report findings to executive(s), as well as recommendations where applicable
- Vet and research all new supplier programs
- Oversee the creation and implementation of new national programs
- Act as liaison for internal teams and external supplier representatives as related to national suppliers
- Comply with all company national standards, applicable health and safety rules and regulations, as well as applicable local, state, and federal laws
- Perform other tasks as required when directed
Education and Experience
- High school diploma is required. Bachelor’s degree in marketing or other business-related fields is preferred
- Two to five years of property management experience required
- Two or more years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or sourcing experience preferred
- One to two years of experience in Yardi Voyager or other equivalent systems is preferred
- One to two years of experience in Salesforce or other equivalent system is preferred
Skills and Requirements
- Intermediate level knowledge with MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (including Excel functions)
- Proven ability to firmly manage challenging situations, negotiate pricing, improve quality, reduce lead times, and strengthen partnerships with quality suppliers
- Possess a basic understanding of supply chain management concepts
- Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and a desire to learn
- Required to complete and successfully pass the Avenue5 Fair Housing and Preventing Discrimination and Harassment training and other courses, if assigned
Scheduling
- Required to maintain a regular schedule which may require working overtime, weekends, and non-traditional holidays
- Ability to travel at least 20%, which could include overnight
Environment
- Exposure to environment typically found in an office building
- Frequent exposure to airports, airplanes, rental cars, hotels, etc.
