We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Nursing Department Coordinator to join our team at Avera Health. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating the nursing department's activities and work production.
About the Position
In this role, you will be accountable for the clinical operations and coordination of patient flow. You will resolve operational and scheduling discrepancies in the absence of the manager and coordinate resources to meet clinical goals and objectives.
You will also be responsible for maintaining appropriate staffing levels to maximize efficiency and participating in the employee selection process. You will conduct position orientation and serve as a resource to staff, providing coaching for performance improvement and input in employee performance.
In addition, you will contribute to the development of Nursing Department policies and procedures and assist leadership in facilitating monthly clinical staff meetings. You will review and order supplies for the clinic and educate nurses in the use of new technologies, electronic medical records processes, and/or medical equipment.
