About the Job:
We are seeking a skilled Receptionist to join our multidisciplinary team at Avera Medical Group Sibley.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients, check them in, and complete registration, including verifying demographics, insurance, and collecting service payments.
- Responsible for insurance verifications, authorizations, and obtaining consent and waiver forms as necessary.
- Scanning pertinent information into patient records.
- Answering and addressing calls, messages, and faxes, routing them to appropriate individuals or departments if needed.
- Maintaining computer appointment scheduling and following office scheduling policies and parameters.
- Coordinating nurse, physician, and patient time to expedite care delivery.
- Serving as a public relations agent for physicians by providing friendly and efficient service to patients.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; 1-3 months of related experience and/or training preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicating with colleagues and ensuring a productive and efficient work environment.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with safety principles, laws, regulations, and standards associated with CMS, The Joint Commission, DHHS, and OSHA if applicable.
