The Lodge at Whitefish Lake, Montana's premier AAA Four Diamond resort, is seeking a Tiki Bartender to join our Food and Beverage Team.
About the Role:
The Tiki Bartender role is to create exceptional experiences for our guests, providing impeccable service and product while building meaningful connections with guests and coworkers.
Main Responsibilities:Maintain a professional image and working relationships Collect payment for food and beverage services Follow company cash handling and accounting procedures Provide outstanding customer service Maintain extensive product knowledge and recommend suitable beverage and food items Memorize all cocktail recipes and prepare drinks according to company standards Accurately measure liquor, beer, and wine pours Offer timely beverage service to guests and servers Maintain composure in a fast-paced bar environment Notify manager of unhappy or unruly guests Perform opening, side work, and closing duties accurately Maintain a clean workspace Assist managers and chefs as directed
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Maintain organization and attention to detail Punctuality and adherence to posted schedules POS system competency Current Montana TIPS certification Ability to carry trays through busy dining spaces Effective communication amidst loud background noise Strong multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment Familiarity with menu items and ability to learn new ones Team player with balance between individual and team responsibilities Desire to provide exceptional guest experiences and maintain quality standards Strong communication skills and ability to develop relationships
Qualification Standards:
Education:
- Preference for a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Computer and point of sales skills required
Experience/Licenses or Certificates:
- 2 years of experience at a high-level establishment
- Will obtain proper TIPS training for serving alcoholic beverages
Schedule/Holidays/PTO:
The Tiki Bartender maintains a 4-day weekly schedule, adjusted based on business demands, and is available during peak season without restrictions. Working days, evenings, weekends, and holidays are required, with no time off granted during typical blackout periods.
