Job Summary: The New Construction HVAC Manager will be responsible for managing new construction HVAC projects from inception to completion. This role requires a hands-on leader with extensive field experience, technical expertise, and strong people management skills. The ideal candidate is tenacious, highly organized, and capable of working both onsite and in the field to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of new construction HVAC projects, including planning, execution, and closeout.
- Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Lead, train, and mentor HVAC technicians to maintain high performance and quality workmanship.
- Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring timely completion of installations.
- Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and resolve issues proactively.
- Estimate project costs and prepare competitive bids for new construction opportunities.
- Assist with system design and ensure compliance with industry standards and local building codes.
- Support sales efforts by providing technical insights and fostering strong client relationships.
- Maintain inventory control and ensure job sites are well-organized and stocked with necessary materials.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and best practices in the field.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in the HVAC trade, with a focus on new construction.
- Proven leadership and people management experience.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Hands-on experience in HVAC installation, troubleshooting, and system design.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with teams and clients.
- Valid HVAC license and certifications (if required by state regulations).
