Job Description Summary:

. The Financial Analyst will play a critical role in supporting our financial decision-making processes, conducting in-depth financial analysis, and providing actionable insights to drive growth and profitability. This role will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to provide meaningful insights to key stakeholders, including senior management and cross-functional teams. This role will play a vital role in assessing the financial health of the business unit they support, identifying risks and opportunities, and supporting strategic planning initiatives.

Job Description:

Financial Analysis and Reporting: Assess the financial performance, trends, and risks of a company by providing insights to guide decision-making and drive business growth. Prepare comprehensive information that communicates financial results.

  • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.
  • Prepare, submit and present comprehensive financial reports, including benchmarking, production costs and overheads, highlighting key findings, trends, and recommendations to stakeholders.

Data Gathering and Interpretation: Collect relevant financial data from various sources, such as financial statements, databases, and market research, ensuring accuracy and completeness for further analysis. Analyze collected data, identify patterns, trends, and insights that can be used to guide the decision-making process and support strategic initiatives.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Identify and evaluate potential risks that could impact the company's performance and objectives, such as market volatility, regulatory changes, or credit risks. Identify and assess financial risks, such as market volatility, currency fluctuations, and regulatory changes.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
  • Monitor and track the implementation of risk mitigation measures and provide regular updates to management.
  • Work with the General Manager and Operational Leaders to construct internal audits and ensure proper controls regarding production costs, overheads, expense management.

Strategic Planning Support: Provide analysis, insights, and recommendations to support the development and execution of the company's strategic plans. Evaluate the financial viability of potential opportunities, conduct financial modeling and forecasting, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with broader strategic goals.

  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic planning initiatives, including new product launches, market expansions, and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Assist in evaluating the financial viability and profitability of potential business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with other teams to develop financial models and forecasts for capital management – including short- and long-term justifications for the expenditure.

Process Improvement: Identify measures to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and accuracy within financial operations and reporting processes. This includes streamlining workflows, automating manual tasks, and adopting best practices to optimize financial data integrity, reporting timeliness, and overall operational performance.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the finance function and contribute to the implementation of automation and efficiency initiatives.
  • Streamline financial reporting processes and enhance data accuracy and integrity.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulations related to financial analysis and reporting.

Business Partner & Trusted Advisor: Partners to develop deep working relationships with business operation leaders and functional experts to identify opportunities to improve business performance through financial insights and aligning financial strategies to ensure desired outcomes.

  • Collaborate closely with the General Manager and Operational Leaders to provide financial insights and analysis that contribute to the achievement of strategic goals.
  • Understand the business dynamics, align financial operations, and provide valuable recommendations.
  • Lead and assume accountability for the annual budgeting and forecasting process. Guide the overall process for the business ensuring healthy appreciation to timelines. Construct the presentation deck for the team and lead efforts to craft the appropriate narrative to senior business leaders.
  • Serve as a coach and mentor to peers within the leadership team. Share expertise in financial analysis, interpretation, and reporting to strengthen the overall financial acumen of the team.
