Quality Assurance and Regulatory Manager

Job Description Summary:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Manager for Aviagen Inc operations in Elkmont, AL. The essential function of this position will be ensuring compliance for the Animal Welfare, Biosecurity, Compartmentalization, ISO, and QA programs for Elkmont GGPs including the Elkmont Hatchery and the GGP Egg Depot.

The ideal candidate should have the following experience, skills, and attributes:

• BS in related field preferred
• 3 plus years in a related field, preferably in both hatchery and production
• ISO 9001:2015 or equivalent experience preferred
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willing to travel
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Good computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, understanding of pivot charts, and presentation skills
• Detail oriented

Key Responsibilities: The following duties will vary according to the needs of the organization.

Normal duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Performing egg handling reviews
• Assist in maintaining biosecurity standards in GGPs, the Elkmont Hatchery, and the GGP Depot including compartmentalization
• Maintaining all aspects of the ISO system for GGPs including document updates, training document maintenance, and audit assistance
• Ensuring that the QA Coordinators at each location are fulfilling their assigned duties
• Managing the QA data that is being collected and ensuring data is accurate
• Conducting mortality investigations
• • Serving as a liaison with external parties on matters relating to the quality assurance system
• Generate reports related to Biosecurity, Animal Welfare, ISO, and Quality
• Facilitate audits for animal welfare, biosecurity, and compartmentalization

This position will report to the Director of QA for Aviagen Inc. Some travel will be required.
