Job Description Summary:
This position will supervise the day-to-day operations of the technical aspects of the laboratory quality system. This individual will coordinate the activities required to meet ISO and QAVM technical requirements; as well as distribute reports regarding performance. They will liaise with other internal Lab Quality and Technical Specialists to ensure compliance. This position will report to the Hatchery Supervisor.Job Description:
Supervise & Ensure compliance with current ISO standards and QAVM requirements
Collect and manage data to promote quality
Maintain and update Quality and Technical manuals
Perform technical audits and oversee improvements to laboratory processes and procedures
Support veterinary diagnostic testing as required
Create protocols and provide training with new diagnostic methods
Coordinate implementation of proficiency testing programs, report results and make recommendations for improvements
Perform other duties in the course of their work which may be required
Advanced computer and data entry skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
Job Qualifications:
Analytical approach to problem solving
Basic math to break down vaccine percentage administrations
Good computer skills
Report writing skills, to include quality manual content
Good communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Effective time management and ability to prioritize objectives
Must be self-motivated with ability to perform tasks with accuracy and efficiency
