Job Description:
Responsibilities:
- End User Application Support over multiple applications.
- Software testing of new or modified software developed in-house
- Production and maintenance of User How-To Guides
- Remote and/or Virtual training of end users
- Production and maintenance of user reports
- Interact with business functional representatives to understand and document their business processes and requirements
- Build a global user representative team in your area of concern and maintain an open channel of communication
- Act as an advocate for the users
- Analyze global business requirements
- Assess current systems capabilities and work closely with development team to improve.
- Participate in agile software development communication with developers and project management
- Recommend and implement practical uses of technology to support business processes
- Organize and report on change requests
- Actively drive issue resolutions and closely monitor their progress
- Communicate project status, escalate issues, and manage deadlines and action items
Skills and Experience:
- Two – Four Year Degree a plus
- Minimum of 5 years in the IT/Computer Science field.
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a subject matter expert or user with proven systems analysis, application design, and configuration capabilities.
- Database and infrastructure knowledge for troubleshooting root cause.
- Experience in unit testing, application interfaces, and integration testing.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with a professional demeanor; effectively communicating with end users and liaising with IT staff.
- Excellent organization, planning, and administration skills.
- Superior analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Familiarity with Crystal Reports or other report-writing software is a plus.
Job Description Summary:
We seek an individual to fill a position as a Software Support Specialist. The successful candidate will support, test, and document applications developed by Aviagen’s in-house development teams and externally supplied solutions covering our global user base. The primary focus will be on day-to-day 2/3 line production support, with input into the future direction of the applications.
