About the Role: The HR Generalist will oversee the administration and maintenance of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS), ensuring accurate data processing, system updates, and reporting. The HR Generalist will collaborate closely with the Senior HR Manager to support and facilitate the delivery of a comprehensive range of HR services within the Americas region, to include performance management, employee engagement activities, employee relations, and ensuring policy compliance. The HR Generalist will also collaborate and support the Payroll and Benefits Manager on payroll processing, reporting and compliance. This position will also focus on fostering a positive employee lifecycle experience by maintaining efficient HR operations and seamless integration between HR systems and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in the HRIS and employee personnel files, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Support the recruitment process by working closely with the hiring manager in the development of employment requisitions, preparing job offers and related documentation.
- Ensures effective onboarding and day-one success for all new hires to include, initiating pre-employment screening, completing the I9 verification process, launching the onboarding process of a new employee, and the scheduling of onboarding meetings.
- Assists in SOX compliance audits of HR & Payroll processes.
- Manage day-to-day HR queries, offering guidance and advice to employees and managers in accordance with current policies and best practices.
- Assist in resolving employee relations issues, collaborating with management to maintain a positive workplace environment.
- Ensure the consistent application of regional HR policies and procedures across the Americas region.
- Work closely with the Payroll & Benefits Manager to support the processing of payroll within the Americas region.
- Reconcile payroll register, ensuring payroll changes (i.e., commission payments, garnishments, 401 loan deductions &/or contribution changes, etc.) are accurately reflected in payroll cycle.
- Administers Time and Attendance system to ensure the timely processing of pay and hourly, PTO, overtime, and other exceptions pay in the appropriate pay cycle.
- Assist employees in resolving timecard issues for payment accuracy.
- Process requests for verification of employment, responds to unemployment claims
- Serves as liaison to employees and with third party payroll vendor to ensure payroll processing accurately reflects company specific pay policies.
- Interprets pay policies, (e.g., PTO, Leave of Absence, disability, workers compensation, government regulations, withholding exemptions, etc.) and ensures appropriate amounts/deductions are calculated and applied to the various accounts correctly.
- Verifies compliance with federal and state payroll requirements; stays current with changes in the law.
- Assists in audits of payroll records, tax filings and related documentation.
- Support the documenting of payroll processes and procedures.
- Proactively support the implementation of Global HR initiatives such as performance management, employee engagement activities, and organizational development programs.
- Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries, providing guidance on enrolment, claims, and changes to benefits.
- Support the HR function in managing vendor relationships by initiating vendor creation, raising purchase orders, and validating invoices promptly to facilitate timely and accurate payment processing.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes through participation in HR-related projects and initiatives.

Qualifications & Competencies:
- Bachelor’s Degree, desired or HR qualification
- Advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Outlook
- 4 years’ experience in Human Resources, Payroll, Office Management,
- Knowledge of ADP and/or other HRIS system.
- Experience working with highly confidential & sensitive information.
- Preferred understanding of how payroll summary totals relate to the general ledger.
- Proven experience in developing effective relationships.
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail skills.
- Provide support to employees/departments in multiple locations.
- Effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to integrate relevant information systematically from a broad range of situations to improve work product.
- Ability to identify problems, recognize symptoms and make recommendations.
