As an FAA Repair Station Valve Shop Technician, you will be responsible for completing the tasks associated with each work record, which may include but are not limited to:
- Perform internal & external inspection on cylinders
- Disassembly, repair and assembly of inflation valves
- Test assembled valves for leaks and functionality
- Requalify cylinders
- Make sure cylinders pass test and in good condition to go back on aircraft
- Charge cylinders with CO2 and N2 gases
- Hydro test cylinders and hoses
- Perform hydro static test on all hoses and cylinders
- Install Requalification Identification Number (RIN) on cylinders
- Stamp RIN and date on steel cylinders
- Repair, test and overhaul aspirators
- Troubleshooting of inflation valves
- Other duties may be assigned depending on department needs
Job Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Experience with hand tools
- Aviation experience a plus
- Team oriented
