The Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM), established in 1969, is a leader in aviation maintenance education. With 15 campuses nationwide, AIM is a vital contributor to the aviation industry, accounting for 20% of all FAA-certified Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) students in the country. Each year, AIM graduates nearly one in four certified aircraft technicians in America.
Our campus in Phoenix , AZ is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Campus Executive Director to lead its growing team and ensure excellence in aviation education. This role focuses on delivering exceptional student outcomes, building strong faculty teams, and driving campus growth while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and operational efficiency.
Position Overview
The Campus Executive Director is responsible for the strategic leadership and overall management of the campus. This includes driving enrollment and retention, managing staff and resources, and fostering an environment where students and faculty can thrive. The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strong leadership, operational expertise, and a passion for education.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership and Growth : Develop and implement strategies to drive campus growth, student success, and alignment with AIM’s vision and goals.
- Student Retention and Enrollment : Lead efforts to improve student retention, enrollment, and active student population growth.
- Operational Oversight : Manage campus operations, including budget preparation, resource allocation, and facility management, in collaboration with the Regional Director.
- Team Leadership and Development : Supervise, mentor, and support campus staff and leadership, including the Director of Education, Director of Admissions, and other key roles, fostering a high-performing, collaborative team.
- Compliance and Accreditation : Ensure compliance with accreditation standards, state requirements, and regulatory guidelines in partnership with Corporate Compliance. Experience with ACCSC accreditation processes preferred.
- Community and Industry Engagement : Build strong relationships with industry partners, accrediting bodies, and community organizations to enhance AIM’s reputation and student opportunities.
- Meeting Coordination and Communication : Conduct monthly campus meetings to align staff on policies, goals, and progress toward key benchmarks, while coordinating Program Advisory Committee (PAC) and Advisory Board activities.
- Collaboration and Organizational Support : Maintain positive relationships with school and corporate staff, ensuring alignment with AIM’s mission and reputation.
- Additional Duties : Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Regional Director, President, or Vice President of Operations to meet campus and organizational needs.
