The Aviation Museum of N.H. seeks an enthusiastic temporary Camp Education Assistant to begin in June, 2025.
Requirements
- Preference will be given to applicants holding or pursuing a degree in education or childhood development.
- Required to be 18 and up. Background check will be conducted, first aid and CPR training will be provided. Driver’s license and transportation required (or regular means of transportation).
- Willing to engage with hands-on crafts and activities.
- Museum or nonprofit experience is helpful.
- Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft products.
- Experience working with neurodiverse individuals.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for camper check-in and check-out at the beginning and end of the day.
- Craft activity preparation and cleanup.
- Help chaperone field trips.
- Assist with classroom and museum organization.
- The Camp Assistant will not lead lessons, but should be comfortable in the classroom working with students.
Compensation details: This is an hourly role that pays $18 per hour, full-time for 10 weeks. Hours are generally from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with slight deviation based on the week's activities. This role is temporary for the 2025 summer season. The museum does not currently provide a benefits package.
