WHAT IS THE JOB?

The Senior Business Applications and Solutions Analyst will lead efforts to assess and improve business processes, optimize applications, and work with vendors and internal teams to deliver innovative solutions. This role requires strong project management skills, a strategic mindset for aligning technology with business objectives, and the ability to guide stakeholders through change and adoption of new processes.

This role will initially have a defined 3-year term with the potential for it to be extended to a permanent spot on the Business Applications and Process team after 3 years.

  • Flexibility in Work Location: This position may work 100% remote in any of the four times zones in the continental U.S., with an option for hybrid work at our San Diego campus.

  • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO): This position is eligible for 22 days of PTO per year, with 12 paid holidays plus a winter break in between Christmas and New Year’s Day.

  • Continued education opportunities: All full-time employees with at least 1 year of continuous AVID Center service are eligible for $5,250 per calendar year in tuition reimbursement for qualifying coursework or certification.

  • Company-Provided Equipment: Our home office set-up includes a laptop, dock, and extra monitor, with other amenities available on request.

Pay rates for this position:

We bring in all employees at the midpoint of the salary range for your role. Knowing that not all cities share the same cost of labor, we make offers using a tiered approach based on your geographical location. While the majority reside in Zone 1 or Zone 2 areas, we acknowledge variations, even within counties, ensuring fair compensation for all based on their specific location's cost of labor.

For the Senior Business Analyst position, here is what we will offer:

Zone 1 (areas characterized by lower labor costs [e.g., Charleston, WV, Cleveland, OH, Phoenix, AZ, Omaha, NE, etc.]): $118,172 annually

Zone 2 (areas with moderate labor costs [e.g., Syracuse, NY, Ann Arbor, MI, Denver, CO, San Diego, CA, etc.]): $127,035 annually

Zone 3 (areas known for high labor costs [e.g., Washington, D.C., Trenton, NJ, Los Angeles, CA, Seattle, WA, etc.]): $135,897 annually

Zone 4 (areas with the highest labor costs [e.g., Bridgeport, CT, New York City, NY, San Francisco, CA, San Jose, CA, etc.]): $150,669 annually

WHAT WILL YOU DO IN THIS ROLE?

  • Collaborate with departments and vendors to assess and improve workflows and identify opportunities to build communication and training to ease the introduction of new technologies and improve business processes.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in projects to align technology solutions with strategic goals.
  • Act as a liaison between business units and technical teams, translating organizational needs into actionable solutions.
  • Evaluate and document workflows, recommend improvements, and drive change management efforts to ensure adoption and success.
  • Develop training materials and resources to support end users and ensure optimal use of systems and processes.
  • Maintain a deep awareness of how business processes help stakeholders explore technology possibilities to execute their operations more effectively.
  • Define and develop standard operating procedures and perform periodic system activity reviews.
  • Develop and deliver training resources for technical and business applications to ease their adoption by end users and other stakeholders.
  • Evaluate business processes from end-to-end to identify and address gaps and operational, financial, and technological risks.
  • Proactively identify process and system improvement opportunities, including integrating new systems and processes with existing ones to meet long-term technology strategies.
  • Translate end users’ business needs into business requirements, user stories, and reporting requirements to be delivered to the information technology development team for reports, dashboards, systems enhancements, development, or new client applications.
  • Assist in conducting research on vendors and software products to meet agreed-upon requirements and support vendor relationship efforts.
  • Participate in the selection and documentation of technology solutions that the organization may opt to use.

  • You are quick and calculated with change management processes and can adapt to modified plans, quickly communicating changes with teams to outline impact and alternate options.
  • You are a continuous learner and lead your work with a growth mindset.
  • You have experience working with multiple business systems and platforms (experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, UKG, and comparable systems is a plus).
  • You have a bachelor’s degree in information systems, business, or a related field and at least 5 years of hands-on business analysis and process/systems improvement experience.

Qualifying work experience, as identified by the VP, People Operations, may substitute for the education requirement.
