The Opportunity
The Accounting Manager is a leader accountable for oversight of the Accounting department and the priorities and objectives of the team. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Accounting and will act as a direct manager to team members of varying staff levels. The Accounting Manager will lead a diverse range of subjects including Cash & Investments, Fixed Assets, Prepaids, Accounts Payable, and Accruals. Additionally, the Accounting Manager will lead the accounting team's monthly close process, ensuring adherence to the close schedule, maintaining accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting, and providing day-to-day support and guidance to the team. Further, the Accounting Manager will have a focus on optimizing processes to be more scalable and efficient in preparation for future growth and globalization of the Company.

- Support recent system implementations and participate in future roll outs

- Intellectually curious and drive to understand the “why” behind each process and procedures

What We Seek
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
- CPA License required
- 6 years of combined industry experience including both Big 4 or other large national firm auditing and cost accounting within a publicly traded company
- Advanced working knowledge of US GAAP and a history of becoming subject matter expert in areas of oversight
- Advanced knowledge of SOX and audit requirements
- Advanced people management and leadership skills with the ability to create culture of accountability and performance management while maintaining work-life balance for themselves and the team
- Proactive and strategic mindset with ability to balance solving immediate problems and making progress towards longer term strategic goals
- Ability to evaluate system capabilities to increase efficiencies and improve processes
- Strong communicator who can communicate effectively within a matrixed organization
Preferred Background
- Corporate Accounting experience in a SOX environment
- Pharmaceutical or life sciences commercial experience
- Experience with D365 or other large ERP systems
What We will Provide to You:
- The base salary range for this role is $133,000 - $147,000. The final compensation will be commensurate with such factors as relevant experience, skillset, internal equity and market factors.
