What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Assistant position at TGG Accounting?
Our client is seeking an Accounting professional for a long-term, full-time role to assist the Accountant with various departmental tasks. Ideal candidates will be proactive, able to prioritize and multitask effectively, and work independently. Strong communication skills and a customer service mindset are also essential. This is an on-site role.
Responsibilities
- Review vendor invoices for accuracy, obtain approvals, and enter into ERP system
- Review AP aging and recommend invoices for weekly payment
- Process timely vendor payments and record checks, wires/ACH, and credit card transactions
- Prepare and distribute monthly commission reports for sales reps
- Address vendor and sales rep inquiries on payments and commissions
- Collect W-9s, maintain vendor records, and prepare 1099s
- Assist with month-end activities, account reconciliations, and special projects
- Perform other assigned duties as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
- 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred
- Knowledge of general ledger and month-end processes
- Strong Excel skills required, ERP experience a plus
- Wholesale Goods experience desirable
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage information effectively
- Self-starter with minimal supervision
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal, written, and analytical skills
Salary: $46K-$48K per year plus medical benefits for 100% for employee, FSA plan, 401K, generous PTO and more!
