The Opportunity
We are seeking a Research Associate to join our team in San Diego. This is a hands-on position with responsibility for the design, synthesis, and analysis of oligonucleotides. The ideal candidate will have biotech / pharma experience in aspects of medicinal chemistry, bioconjugation and nucleic acid therapeutics. The candidate is expected to be a strong team player, who enjoys scientific discovery and can communicate and collaborate in an interdisciplinary environment.
What You Will Contribute
- Design, synthesis, purification, and analysis of oligonucleotides ranging from mg to gram scales.
- Development of oligonucleotide synthesis protocols and process optimizations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing research activities.
- Maintain detailed experimental records in an electronic lab notebook, prepare and communicate research results in both oral and written formats.
- Follow all laboratory safety protocols and assist with general laboratory management, equipment upkeep, and inventory management.
