A Computer Repair Technician would be responsible for diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues on computers, performing installations, upgrades, and maintenance while providing technical support to clients to ensure their systems function optimally; key duties include identifying problems, troubleshooting, configuring hardware and software, and communicating technical details to users in a clear manner. Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting and Diagnostics: Identify and diagnose computer hardware and software malfunctions, including issues with operating systems, peripherals, network connectivity, and data storage.
- Hardware Installation and Repair:Install, configure, and replace computer components like RAM, hard drives, power supplies, and graphics cards.
- Software Installation and Updates:Install, update, and configure operating systems, applications, and drivers.
- Data Backup and Recovery:Assist with data backup procedures and perform data recovery operations when necessary.
- Network Support:Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues and configure network settings.
- System Maintenance:Perform routine system maintenance tasks like disk cleanup, virus scans, and system updates.
- Customer Service:Provide clear explanations to clients about their computer issues, present repair options, and answer technical questions in a user-friendly manner.
- Inventory Management:Maintain accurate records of computer parts and inventory levels.
