Customer Service Access Control

The Avila Property Owner's Association currently has a full time 3rd shift opening for qualified access control staff at our gatehouses. The hours are 11:30 pm to 7:30 am. Applicants must be able to work weekends.

The post location is a premier gated community in North Tampa. The Avila team members are hired in house by the Homeowners’ Association and are cross trained on access control, gatehouse and patrol duties.

Avila is a private, gated community, located in North Tampa. Customer service skills are essential. Security experience and license are beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Process authorized guests into the property.
• Patrol premises regularly to maintain a security presence.
• Monitor surveillance cameras for unusual activity.
• Investigate suspicious activity.
• Provide assistance to people in need.
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences.

Requirements

• Outgoing, friendly personality.
• Valid Driver's License and dependable transportation.
• Ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
• Perform duties in a professional manner.
• Ability to walk, and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Ability to work with computer programs.

Full time employees are eligible for two weeks paid vacation their first year, health, vision, and dental insurance, as well as a 401k with a 2% match. We have security officers who have worked here for over 16 years!

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
