Avionics Systems and Integration Engineer

Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for an Avionics Systems and Integration Engineer to support the Cargo Helicopters PO. This position is based in Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Will work in the areas of avionics management systems, communication, navigation, electronic warfare, voice/data recorders, and automatic flight control systems to include:
  • Avionics system architecture design and analysis
  • Systems integration
  • Test, evaluation, and performance analysis
  • System maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Information Assurance
  • Obsolescence management
  • Review Modification Work Orders and other aircraft integration documentation.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's in Engineering, Science, or a related field, and at least 9 years of experience.
• Solid understanding of engineering principles, systems integration, and testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in utilizing engineering software tools, data analysis techniques, and statistical methods.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to apply analytical thinking to complex technical challenges.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Recent aerospace experience in Electrical/Avionics and Communication/Navigation integration in Army aviation systems.
• Avionics Systems and systems integration experience preferred.
• Defense Acquisition Lifecycle – Milestone C documentation experience preferred.
