About the job
The Stockroom Clerk supports our shop and inventory management operations. This position is responsible for ensuring that stockroom activities run smoothly, including receiving, storing, organizing, and issuing materials, parts, and supplies. The Stockroom Clerk will also be tasked with maintaining accurate inventory records.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Inventory Management : Accurately receive, inspect, and document incoming units and materials. Ensure proper storage, organization, and labeling of stock.
- Stock Replenishment : Monitor stock levels and notify the supervisor when inventory needs replenishment or replacement. Disposes expired shelf-life, accordingly, issues a replacement request to the purchasing team.
- Order Fulfillment : Prepare, pick, pack, and label parts and materials for shipment to internal departments or customers. Advises Technicians of work order’s status and changes status in the work status in the company’s software
- Stock Movement : Ensure proper movement of units and materials within the stockroom. Enter information in work orders teardown reports ensuring parts are issued as necessary when applicable. Issues parts for approved Work orders.
- Data Entry : Maintain accurate records of stock items using inventory management systems. Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies. Assists with customs information and documentation as needed. Organizes documents and scans Purchase order packages for archiving.
- Safety and Cleanliness : Ensure that the stockroom is clean, organized, and adheres to safety protocols and guidelines. Report any issues or hazards to the supervisor.
- Collaboration : Work closely with other team members, departments, and external suppliers to ensure the timely and efficient movement of units and materials.
- Documentation : Keep accurate records of stock movements, orders, and stockroom activities. Assist with preparing shipping and receiving documentation.
