We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to join our team!

The primary role of the Director of Nursing (DON) is to plan, develop, organize, and direct the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Services Department in accordance with current Federal, State, and local regulations as well as maintain compliance with policies and procedures. The DON ensures that the highest degree of quality care is maintained.
The Director of Nursing (DON) has delegated administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability to carry out assigned duties. In the absence of the Administrator, the DON is charged with carrying out the policies established by the Facility. The DON Maintains the Rights of Residents as set forth by the Texas Department of Health laws and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and implementing appropriate plans of action to ensure the quality of life and care defined by the resident's comprehensive assessment and care plan.
Monitor nursing care to assure that all residents are treated fairly, with kindness, dignity, and respect.
Make daily rounds of the nursing services department to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards.
Assure nursing organizational structure supports clinical and administrative standards and goals that will enable the facility to achieve its mission and ongoing survey readiness and regulatory compliance.
Maintain continuing quality assessment and improvement analysis and evaluation of nursing care delivery and communicates with Administrator on the activities/issues of nursing customer service items.
Qualifications:
Valid Texas RN License.
Valid CPR Certification.
Minimum of one year of experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or other related healthcare program.
Must possess knowledge of long-term care operational standards as set forth in the Federal Register, Conditions of Participation and State regulations.
