Avista Senior Living, a beautiful senior living community in Spokane, WA , is seeking dedicated & motivated team members to join our team as Dining Aides.
Under general supervision of the Dining Supervisor, the dining aide performs a variety of duties involving preparation and service of balanced meals to the residents of Avista. The dining aide will possess a genuine interest in and concern for the food service industry and for geriatric, chronically ill and/or disabled persons. Must be able to communicate well and take direction to ensure top notch service to our residents.

As a dining aide in our community dining, you help create an incredible dining experience, build relationships with residents, and consistently deliver the service a guest would expect in their favorite restaurant. Our resident satisfaction starts with YOU!
- Take food orders, summarize, and write tickets accurately and promptly.
- Ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all residents, serving food and beverages with a smile.
- Maintain a clean dining and service area for all.
- Help with bussing tables and washing dishes at the end of food service (where applicable).
- Reset tables for the next meal service.
- Helps stock supply shelves in the storage area if needed.
- Uses food preparation equipment properly, cleans and stores appropriately, and reports repairs needed.
- Helps keep the kitchen clean by performing cleaning duties including mopping, sanitizing surfaces and taking out any food waste to the bin
- Adhere to all policies and procedures of Avista Senior Living.
- Safeguards protection of resident rights.

Qualifications:
- A positive team player mentality and passion for serving seniors!
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Food service experience preferred, but NOT required.
- Food handler's permit, or the ability to obtain.
- Able to pass a background check.
