General Summary
The Sales Representative is responsible for achieving maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory by effectively marketing and selling Recreational Cannabis products.
Promotes, sells and secures orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.

Duties and Responsibilities
Development and Maintenance of Sales Opportunities
- Establish, develop and maintain business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in assigned territory to generate new business
- Make telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
- Research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.
- Analyze the territory/market’s potential and determine the value of existing and prospective customers value to the organization.
- Create and manage a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities.
- Identify advantages and compare organization’s products with competitor’s products
- Plan and organize personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the territory.
- Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales reports, sales records and filing expense account reports.
Order Preparation, Distribution and Follow-Up
- Develop clear and effective written proposals for current and prospective customers
- Prepare and distribute invoices for customer approval and to initiate the delivery process
- Coordinate with Processing Manager to ensure accurate inventory availability
- Deliver orders to retail customers on an as-needed basis
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
Advertising, Promotion and Representation
- Supply management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Maintain awareness of product innovations, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.
- Negotiate with retail merchants to improve product exposure, such as shelf positioning and advertising.
- Participate in trade shows, marketing events and educational training for retail partners
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Extensive, detailed knowledge of cannabis and cannabis related products
- Ability to show, promote and sell products including marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques and sales control systems
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, negotiation skills and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Education and Experience
High School diploma and 2 years of work experience in Sales and Customer Service.
Working Conditions: Work is typically conducted in an environmentally controlled workspace or vehicle with occasional exposure to seasonal elements.
Work hours include evenings, weekends and holidays to accommodate retail hours of operation.
This position involves significant travel and requires use of personal vehicle for long hours.
