Reports to CEO, Ireland, Life. Closing date 20th October 2024 This is a pivotal role where the role holder will be responsible for leading the overall ALPIDAC transformation portfolio against the 3-5 year strategic roadmap/cycle, ensuring return on investment and benefits realisation. As the Transformation & Operations Director, the suitable candidate will be responsible for strategically designing and leading a fit for purpose Transformation & Operational function that will cater for the multifaceted expansion of ALPIDAC. You will deliver multi-year, multi-million-euro, complex programmes in response to defined business needs and with quantifiable benefits to be achieved whilst developing scalable, robust operating models to support growth and implement change. This includes: Developing scalable, robust operating models to support growth and implement change. Identifying opportunities to deliver improvements in performance & efficiency. Management of cost base & efficiency improvements balanced with delivery of business growth, customer, people, risk & behaviour goals. Driving delivery of year-on-year operational and cost efficiency. Management of complex outsource relationships in relation to Ireland Life. Maintaining a robust control environment via the effective management of all Audit/Risk areas/points and to anticipate key issues which may emerge. For this role, we are looking for individuals with: Senior executive and multinational insurance/reinsurance experience, broad knowledge, and skills across all elements of life and pensions insurance. Significant experience leading large Transformational growth programs. Previous leadership of transformation and Customer Operations teams. Proven track record of leading large multidisciplinary teams across multiple locations. You will be results driven and a champion of innovation and change. You will be an effective collaborator, an inspiring and energetic leader with a proven track record in successfully leading employees in culture and business transformation and fostering a collaborative and inclusive workplace. Degree or equivalent qualification. Fitness and Probity This is a Regulated Role and will be subject to enhanced pre-employment screening procedures. There will be an on-going requirement for the role holder to maintain fit and proper status. In addition to holding key function / approved person responsibilities, the role holder must act in accordance with the Aviva Group escalation and sign-off requirements, the Aviva Group business standards and any delegated authorities received from the CEO ALPIDAC. Although the role holder is able to delegate aspects of their role, including oversight of the execution of their PCF Responsibilities / Key Function and / or Approved Person Responsibilities, they are not able to delegate accountability for these.
