POSITION PURPOSE :
The clinical pharmacist plays a crucial role in patient care by working closely in a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective use of medications. The clinical pharmacist works with the retail pharmacist to ensure proper pharmacy management including daily functions of the pharmacy ensuring proper preparation, review, verification, and dispensation of prescribed medication. The clinical pharmacist provides medication management, patient counseling, therapeutic drug monitoring, clinical research, and development of clinical staff pharmacological knowledge. The pharmacist provides a positive customer service experience in accordance with the organizations mission. The pharmacist will support the retail pharmacy in efficient workflows in receiving and dispensing medications and inventory. The pharmacist may oversee and direct the pharmacy technician staff and provide education to patients to enhance the customer experience.
