Brief Description
R&S Northeast, LLC is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Sr. Network Administrator to work alongside the IT support team to maximize network performance and maintain network security and integrity. The Sr. Network Administrator will report directly to the Director of IT and will be responsible for all network security policies and procedures, as well as all data, voice, VLAN, and VPN networks, firewall configurations and upgrades. In-depth knowledge of networking and cyber-security with a focus on high-level design and planning is required. The ideal candidate knows how to collaborate on large-scale projects but can also complete assigned tasks on his or her own.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Must be able to travel as required with the ability to sit and stand for extended periods. Work environment is usually performed in a home, office or customer setting. Lift and carry material weighing up to 15 lbs. Requires use of a computer, copier, fax, phone and other standard office equipment. Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment. Body motor skills sufficient to move from one location to another.

Must be willing to travel to our physical location which will include daily and some overnight travel up to 10%

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Implement and administer network security solutions and practices
- Strengthen network security by establishing and enforcing policies and training staff to understand and use security protocols
- Troubleshoot network security incidents and analyze network traffic to determine root-cause
- Plan and execute routine testing and auditing of the network to identify and address potential points of exposure
- Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining secure and reliable network infrastructure
- Configure routers, firewalls, switches, access points, and other networking hardware
- Configure and support security monitoring tools and software
- Maintain up-to-date, detailed IT security framework documentation and diagrams of all networks and networking equipment
- Schedule routine maintenance windows and manage updates and security patches to all networking equipment
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to plan secure, efficient, and reliable data communication pathways and optimize performance of systems
- Interact with the IT Service Desk and Operations Support teams to assist with troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide network support when needed
- Additional duties assigned based on changes to business needs
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Networking, Network Security, or a related field
- 5 years of experience in Network Administration, Security Administration, Network Engineering, or related positions
- Strong understanding of IT security frameworks, standards, and guidelines, including NIST and CMMC
- Deep knowledge of networking and security concepts
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and self-learning ability
- Ability to travel and work a flexible schedule, including occasional evening and weekend hours
- Professional IT certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, MCSE, Network , or Security
- Technical knowledge and expertise working with various networking vendors, including Cisco, Fortinet, and HPE Aruba
