- Responsibilities :
- Establish standards for new campus network designs and equipment.
- Design complex WAN / LAN architectures using best practices.
- Plan and integrate new technologies into the network.
- Perform network impact analysis, modeling, and capacity planning.
- Provide Level III network troubleshooting, including protocol analysis and network trace / capture analysis.
- Understand end-to-end data flows and traffic patterns.
- Perform software / hardware upgrades and LAN equipment configuration / provisioning.
- Manage IP addressing, subnetting, and Quality of Service (QoS).
- Provision and configure WAN technologies (MPLS, SDWAN, SIP) and equipment for various bandwidths.
- Manage networking services (ACS, AAA, DHCP, DNS, ICMP, SNMP).
- Design and support network security technologies and products.
- Manage remote access technologies (VPN, SSL-VPN, IPSec, B2B).
- Train / mentor other IT staff.
- Manage problems and adhere to change management and project management principles.
- Occasional travel for network construction, analysis, and upgrades.
- Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in computing or information technology (networking emphasis) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum five years of experience managing and administering network infrastructure and services.
- Expertise with Cisco equipment and IOS.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Visio / LucidCharts, and MS Project.
- Strong prioritization and risk management skills.
- Cisco CCNP and Microsoft certifications are a plus.

This role is responsible for the design, implementation, and support of the client's enterprise data network. This includes maintaining and optimizing network infrastructure and telecommunications systems, providing Tier 2 support, and acting as a subject matter expert on network technologies. The position requires collaboration with various departments, vendors, and end-users to develop network solutions. Strong project and problem management skills are essential.
