Job Description
AVL Test Systems, Inc. (TSI) offers an expansive portfolio to meet our customers unique needs. From outfitting complete battery labs to component testing, we provide solutions to advance e-mobility projects. We continue to deliver ADAS/AD solutions that help our customers create a safe autonomous future. Locally, we commission equipment and tools, develop solutions, and create custom software. Our team provides: project management, test system engineering, service, support, manufacturing, and specification of solutions.
The AVL TSI team is looking for an engineer with technical experience who is interested in a transition to a customer solution-oriented role. This position provides customer solutions in the e-Motor, e-Axle, e-Drive, Inverter, Fuel Cell, and general electrification testing areas in addition to software and simulation. The Solution Engineer position creates and develops customer solutions for a variety of customers (ranging from start-ups to OEMs) and continues supporting the growth of AVL Test Systems, with new customers.
The Solution Engineering role fulfills a vital role within AVL by creating packages of equipment, software, and services to meet the customer's requirements, and translating these needs into cost effective technical solutions. Qualified candidates for this opportunity will have a passion to grow their career in a more sales driven capacity by providing technical solutions in the electrification, fuel cell, and software/simulation spaces. In addition, candidates must possess strong communication skills with the ability to work with the AVL internal team and customer to provide AVL solutions.

Profile Description
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required
- Master’s degree preferred
- 3-5 years’ experience in related area
- Strong communication skills
- Strong fundamental knowledge of e-Motor, e-Axle, e-Drive, Inverter and/or Fuel Cell application areas
- Demonstrated experience with AVL related products preferred
- Demonstrated successful experience in technical sales preferred
- Ability to multi-task and manage projects/assignments while under time restrictions
- Travel approximately 10 – 25% to meet the needs of customers / minimal overseas travel required
