Avon Nursing Home, a 40 bed skilled nursing facility , is looking for Exceptional Director of Nutritional Services / Food Service Director to join our team on our Full Time

Avon Nursing Home is part of Hurlbut Care Communities, that is owned and operated locally and has 11 skilled nursing facilities across 4 counties .
As the Director of Food Services, the candidate would be responsible for the overall operations of the Dining Services Department, including collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team and the Registered Dietician, food purchasing/receiving/preparation/sanitation/safety and service for all meals through effective direction and delegation, and hiring/training/directing of staff.
Responsibilities Include:
· Provide oversight and management of the Food Services Department
· Participate and oversee the flow of tray line/dining services through during breakfast, lunch, and dinner
· Responsible for interviewing, hiring, and training of all new staff for the dietary department.
· Ensure direction of Dining Services staff during their shifts – assist in maintaining job flows. Communicate any policy changes with the staff.
· Accurate scheduling of department in accordance with the budget.
· Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen through detailed cleaning logs on a daily basis for dining room staff
· Maintain and complete weekly, monthly, and quarterly audits to ensure that the Dietary Services department is in compliance with federal and state regulations, safety requirements, infection control measures, etc.
· Collaborating with the Registered Dietician
· Assisting with documenting admission notes and dietary orders within 48 hours of new resident admissions.
· Interaction with residents to determine their preferences/likes/dislikes. Communicate any changes to the Registered Dietician.
· Attend Care Plan Meetings
· Assist with Menu Development, ensuring that home cooked, quality meals are being served which align with the resident preferences and are within the department budget.
· Maintaining any records regarding audits, tray service, and menu service.
· Attend Resident Food Committee Meetings and address/resolve any issues/concerns
· Weekly ordering of food items necessary for the menu. Maintaining inventory.
· Create and Maintain PAR lists for each menu cycle developed.
· Perform all other tasks as required by the Administrator/Registered Dietician
Qualification:
-Associates or higher degree in Food Service Management or Hospitality, if the course of study includes food service or restaurant management, from an accredited institution of higher learning
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
