What are the responsibilities and job description for the General Laborer position at AVT Beckett Elevators USA Inc.?
AVT is fast growing Elevator Manufacturing company looking for a hard working and reliable individual to join our manufacturing team. Candidate must be responsible and eager to work hard each day.
Responsibilities will include:
- Assembly of various elevator Parts
- Packaging and Preparation for shipment of Elevator Components
- Skinning of elevator doors
- General Housekeeping
- Utilizing special safety equipment such as painting goggles
- Utilizing different painting techniques based on the nature of the surface
- Prepares surfaces to be painted, which may include removing prior finishes through chemicals, or other methods
- Tracks daily usage of paints, thinners and other solvents
- Complies with chemical and waste storage and disposal regulations and best practices
Required Skills:
- High-level attention to detail
- Be able to read a tape measure to 1/32
- Able to lift 50 Lbs. Min.
- Be able to read basic drawings
- Welding experience an asset
- Experience painting a variety of surface types
- Excellent dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Hard-working and motivated to meet Targets
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

- Monday to Friday
