POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a driven and analytical MBA Intern to join our team for a strategic project focused on spare parts and accessories optimization for our line of load banks. The intern will work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and customer service teams to analyze historical and current usage data for spare parts across various skew models and recommend strategic kits and accessory bundles to improve customer satisfaction and drive revenue growth.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Spare Parts Analysis:
Analyze historical usage data and BOMs (Bill of Materials) for different load bank SKUs.
Identify commonly replaced or requested spare parts across product families.
Segment spare parts by failure rate, service interval, and criticality.
Strategic Kit Creation:
Develop logic for grouping parts into standard spare parts kits tailored to specific models or use cases (e.g., field service kits, startup kits, preventive maintenance kits).
Recommend stocking strategies based on usage trends, customer needs, and lead times.
Accessory Portfolio Optimization:
Assess current accessory offerings and identify potential new accessories to enhance product value.
Evaluate customer requests and competitive offerings to define value-added accessories.
Customer and Market Insights:
Gather and analyze customer feedback, service requests, and sales input to understand parts and accessory needs.
Interview internal stakeholders and, where appropriate, customers to validate hypotheses.
Strategic Recommendations:
Propose a scalable framework for spare parts and accessory planning.
Provide business case analysis (e.g., ROI, cost-benefit) for proposed kits and inventory strategy.
Identify opportunities to improve aftermarket sales performance.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Preferred Qualifications:
Currently pursuing an MBA with a focus on Strategy, Operations, or Supply Chain (1st year preferred).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Excel, Power BI, or similar data tools.
Familiarity with inventory planning, aftermarket sales, or manufacturing equipment a plus.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
