Summary
Avtron Power Solutions is looking for a driven, analytical, and team-oriented individual to lead and supervise our PIC department. This position is responsible for managing the shipping, receiving, and material handling teams. Job Description
Ensure on-time customer delivery
Manage processes that determine the best mode of transport and select the best carrier to meet on-time delivery requirement for shipments
Oversee the receipt and verification of inventory within 24 hours
Ensure proper storage of received inventory
Participates in the development and implementation of warehousing procedures including receiving, shipping, warehousing, material movements and inventory control
Responsible for annual performance evaluations, discipline and development of team
Build high performance teams and business structures
Monitor and control inventory including counts, reconciling with inventory systems and bar-coding systems
Oversee the preparation of all necessary paperwork and the coordination of all necessary activities required to package and ship materials and products required to satisfy customer requirements
Ensure spare orders are pulled and shipped 100% on-time
Initiate positive methods of driving team performance and metrics
Track, monitor, and communicate the progress of shipments

Able to work independently with minimal supervision and supervise others’ work

Experience
At least 3 years of prior experience in a manager role in material control, warehouse management or a related field
Lean Manufacturing experience
Able to multitask and prioritize workloads in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in MS Office including Excel
Knowledge of shipping, receiving, and distribution processes and procedures
Possess forklift certification and able to train others on forklift operations
Experience with ERP/MRP preferred SAP but not required
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
