The CNA/Caregiver Home Care Floaters at AW Health Care are highly experienced and dedicated professionals who craves fresh challenges every day in their job. The part-time Home Care Floaters are scheduled for intermittent visits throughout the St. Charles and West St Louis counties. The Floaters ensures that each client's needs are met with the highest level of care. This role is essential for providing coverage when regular staff are unavailable or when new, unassigned cases arise.
Floater Schedule: Must be available to cover shifts between 7:00 AM - 7:00PM, Monday - Friday, two weekends a month required.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the client with personal hygiene such is bathing, care of skin, mouth and hair. Instruct client and family in meeting client’s personal hygiene needs
- Provide physical assistance in client transfer, positioning and ambulation as outlined in the client care plan.
- Assist client with prescribed non-skilled exercises which the client, family, and in-home care aide have been taught by appropriate professional personnel.
- Change client bed linen as needed, light laundry and housekeeping.
- Clear client’s path of clutter or client’s room to provide for maximum client safety.
- Prepare a light meal if visit during mealtime.
- Assist in cleaning and maintaining supplies and equipment in proper condition.
- Assist the recipient with ordinarily self-administered medications (open bottles, get water).
- Client transportation and errands if indicated in the Care Plan.
- Apply non-prescription topical ointments/lotions to unbroken skin at the recipient’s direction.
- Assist with any Activities of Daily Living (ADL’s) not previously listed and within the scope of service and licensure.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to demonstrate experience with transfers, gait belts, hoyer lifts, sit-to -stands and assisted eldery with stability issues.
- CNA preferred or highly experienced Caregiver that is friendly, outgoing and ready for any type of care.
- Must be able to work in homes with pets and smokers.
- Must have valid driver's license, your own reliable, personal vehicle with full coverage auto insurance.
- Must have at least one year (preferably two years) or more paid work experience as an agency CNA or Caregiver caring for elderly individuals.
- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and the skills necessary to provide the care appropriate to the age of the clients served in the interview and/or orientation.
- Must be available & flexible with their hours for “On-Call” type shifts as needed, Monday - Friday and/or Weekends, 7AM -7PM.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform the following tasks if necessary:
- Ability to participate in physical activity.
- Ability to work for extended period of time while standing and being involved in physical activity.
- Moderate lifting.
- Ability to do extensive bending, lifting and standing on a regular basis.
Salary : $18 - $26
