About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Optical Device Engineer & Technician to join our team at Award Staffing. As an Optical Device Engineer & Technician, you will play a critical role in the development and production of precision optomechanical systems prototypes and subassemblies.
Your primary responsibilities will include working with the engineering staff to assemble, test, and troubleshoot precision optomechanical system prototypes and subassemblies, developing assembly, testing, and inspection procedures, and fabricating and modifying mechanical components using milling machines, lathes, and other equipment.
You will also be responsible for performing in-process testing, incoming testing, and inspection of mechanical components as needed, maintaining and organizing lab facilities and tools, and ensuring compliance with all standard operating procedures.
We are looking for someone with 5 years of experience in production or assembly of optical or precision mechanical/medical instruments. Preference will be given to candidates experienced in working with optical technology.
