We’re looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Bilingual Medical Assistant who is fluent in English and Spanish to join our team! Summary of Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients by greeting them warmly.
- Verify patient information review and/or record medical history.
- Monitor and chart vital signs.
- Prepare patients for the health care visit by directing and/or accompanying them to the examining room; providing examination gowns and drapes; helping them to position themselves for the examination and/or treatment.
- Arrange instruments, supplies, and equipment and assist the physician during the procedure with equipment, supplies.
- Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic laboratory tests on-premises, including hemoglobin and Rh Factor testing. Draw blood, dispose of contaminated supplies, sterilize medical instruments.
- Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.
- Prepare patients for ultrasounds, exams, tests, and procedures. Perform ultrasounds, patient education, and lab services as requested.
- Prepare patients for and assist physician providers with abortion procedures.
- Able to prepare, identify, and properly dispose of POC.
- Perform and interpret in-house laboratory tests necessary for appropriate intake of abortion patients, including hemoglobin and Rh Factor testing.
- Process medical instruments per AWC guidelines.
- Assist the medical team with compassion and professionalism.

Requirements:
- Must support abortion access.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical Assistant Diploma.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Enjoy working as part of a team.
- Trained for a fast-paced medical care office.
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.
- Detail-oriented and able to perform repetitive tasks without error.
- Ultrasound experience is a plus.
- New grads welcome.
- Must be fluent in English and Spanish.
