Looking for an Accountant, Database Specialist to manage the accounting functions and data base administration and management of a non-traditional, non-profit organization. This organization has a large membership base and excellent record keeping, and communication skills including grammar and writing are essential requirements of the role. The ideal candidate will work well independently and autonomously; have excellent research and decision-making skills, and be detail minded with meticulous documentation and organizational abilities. Lastly the Accountant must be comfortable working in a small business office with little supervision. This is a fully on-sight position, with long term opportunity and stability. Main Duties:
- A/P, A/R, Journal entries, Bank Reconciliation, Month-End
- Payroll, including researching and resolving payroll issues
- Review, approval, payment, and management of expense reports
- Audit Preparation for year-end external CPA engagement
- Financial reporting, i.e., monthly reconciliations, payroll reports, ad hoc, etc.
- Membership Database maintenance, including tracking membership records and dues
- Administrative and Special Project Work as needed for Senior Management
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting Preferred, or 10 yrs progressive Accounting Experience
- 2 years minimum experience with QuickBooks
- Experience working with cash basis accounting versus accrual based accounting.
- Tech Savvy able to pick up quickly on Company Software (Titan)
- Database Management experience or Excellent Excel capabilities
- Ability to troubleshoot, research, and resolve situations with diplomacy and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently, meeting timelines through self-motivation and self-discipline
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, including grammar and writing
- Ability to pass thorough background and screening check
Salary : $85,000 - $90,000
