What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical Technician position at AWL Automation?
Join the exciting world of automation as an Electrical Technician. Due to the wide array of variations in end products and customer requirements, the work of an AWL Electrical Technician is diverse.
As an ET you will be fitting cables, components and units and testing (sub) systems. You will install and verify electric / electronic components and systems according to diagrams on automation machines while working alongside with Mechanical Technicians, PLC and Robot Programmers to ensure machine safety and quality. An Electrical Technician must be able and willing to adapt with regards to the availability of materials, tools, drawings, components, etc..
The following skills and experience are required:
• Being able to read and interpret EPLAN drawings and schematics for assembly and wiring sequencing, from 24 Volts to 480
• Understanding of electrical engineering procedures
• Familiarity with automation products and industry
Experience:
1-3 years experience installing electrical systems and subsystems in an industrial content. Professional Electrician License is a plus.
High School Diploma, A.A. preferred or equivalent experience
Travel: Willing to travel and work abroad if necessary for approx. 30% of your time.
