We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Receiving Associate to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced distribution center. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing incoming shipments, ensuring accurate inventory levels, and maintaining the efficiency of our warehouse operations. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to operate various warehouse equipment.
Responsibilities
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory levels and manage stock.
- Load and unload products from delivery trucks using forklifts and reach trucks.
- Assist with order picking and fulfillment processes to meet e-commerce demands.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the receiving area.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of incoming goods.
- Perform cycle counts and assist with inventory audits as needed.
- Follow safety protocols while operating warehouse equipment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with order fulfillment processes and e-commerce operations is a plus.
- Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and MRP software.
- Experience with order picking, load unloading, and operating forklifts or reach trucks is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to lift heavy items as required by the position.
