The Production Technician is responsible for routine and preventative maintenance duties within the production department. The Production Technician is responsible for, but not limited to, stapling, skinning, grinding, cleaning, performing inspections, clean up, proper storage and disposal of products, operating various tools and equipment, and various tasks as assigned by the Facility Manager.
Essential job duties and responsibilities include:
- Preparing and setting up necessary tools and equipment for manufacturing awnings, canopies, and miscellaneous aluminum structures.
- Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting, maintaining supplies, performing preventative maintenance, and informing the Facility Manager of needed repairs.
- Propose potential quality or productivity enhancements for continual improvement.
- Review finished assemblies and parts to ensure accuracy against drawings and BOMs.
- Report fabrication issues and assist resolutions as required.
- Perform shop floor duties such as stapling, packing, shipping, loading, and unloading.
- Maintain accurate inventory.
- Analyze work orders to complete the manufacturing of awnings.
- Operate a variety of tools and equipment as needed for each job.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
Work Environment:
- Production floor, climate and non-climate controlled.
- Heavy lifting up to 75 pounds.
- Physical requirements require bending, twisting, standing, stopping, and standing for long periods of time.
