Job Summary/Overview:
The Outreach Specialist will play a pivotal role in executing outreach strategies that engage corporate partners, veterans, and military-connected employees. This position involves managing corporate relationships, executing outreach campaigns, and ensuring the integration of AWP’s mission within the corporate sector. The Outreach Specialist will collaborate with internal teams to enhance PWP’s visibility while ensuring that veterans and their families are well-connected to resources and community events.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Assist in developing long-range outreach strategies to support PWP’s mission of engaging veterans and their families.
- Contribute to achieving outreach and engagement goals for PWP’s programs.
- Lead initiatives that establish PWP as a community leader supporting veterans through direct engagement and corporate partnerships.
Corporate Relationship Development:
- Serve as a liaison to employers looking to enhance their military affairs programs through collaboration with PWP.
- Educate corporate partners on PWP’s Model, Four Step Plan, and best practices to improve veteran quality of life.
- Build relationships with local, regional, and national organizations, veteran service providers, and other stakeholders that align with AKWP’s mission.
Event Coordination & Execution:
- Lead and manage virtual and in-person events related to corporate engagement.
- Oversee event logistics, including coordination with stakeholders, volunteers, and vendors.
Community Engagement & Outreach:
- Build strong relationships with community groups, partners, and agencies to support veterans and their families.
- Coordinate multichannel outreach campaigns to engage military-connected employees.
- Act as the primary point of contact for community partners and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and engagement.
- Raise awareness of PWP’s services and programs through presentations and community engagement.
Data Tracking & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of referrals, engagements, and outreach activities.
- Track engagement metrics and adjust strategies as necessary to achieve outreach goals.
- Provide regular reports to leadership on outreach progress and community engagement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business development, marketing, communications, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in corporate relations, event coordination, and community outreach.
- Experience working with military or veteran populations and understanding of military affairs (preferred).
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with corporate partners, veterans, and stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and be a collaborative team player.
Working Conditions:
- This role requires 75% in-state travel to attend events and meetings.
- Flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, may be required to meet event timelines and partner needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
