We are installing a single solar monitoring system (SMS) on behalf of one of our clients. The station consists of a few solar panels, two 7-foot tripods, scientific measurement equipment, and a locked chain link fence. This state-of-the-art system monitors the solar resource, meteorological parameters, and weather-related data.
The successful candidate will be responsible for weekly maintenance, ensuring consistent and accurate data collection over a minimum of 1 year and maximum 2 years. Key duties include:
Maintenance visits should take approximately 45-90 minutes, including travel time to and from the site. Additionally, the technician will need to upload a weekly Excel logbook with photos and documentation via the internet within the same timeframe. The entire process requires 2-4 hours per week, including travel time. In some instances, UL Solutions may request assistance with equipment replacement or troubleshooting, which will be supported by a Senior Engineer.
